What is the SportPesa Mega Jackpot?

The SportPesa Mega Jackpot is a weekly football prediction competition where SportPesa selects 17 matches and you predict the 1X2 result — home win (1), draw (X), or away win (2) — for each one. Correctly predict all 17 and you win the Mega Jackpot grand prize, currently standing at over KES 117 million and growing every week nobody wins it. The last grand prize winner was Bonnie Kamau, who won KES 424 million on August 3, 2025 — the first jackpot winner since 2018. The prize reset to KES 100 million after that win and has been growing since. Each entry combination costs KES 99.

SportPesa Mega Jackpot bonuses

You do not need all 17 correct to win something. SportPesa awards bonuses for near-misses:

• 17/17 correct — Mega Jackpot grand prize (KES 117M+, shared among all correct entries)
• 16/17 correct — Mega Jackpot bonus
• 15/17 correct — Mega Jackpot bonus

Bonus amounts depend on the number of players who qualify that week — the more players hit the same threshold, the smaller the individual share. If a jackpot match is postponed or cancelled, SportPesa waits 72 hours before voiding it. Voided matches are excluded from the prediction requirement for that round.

What is the SportPesa Mega Jackpot Pro?

In January 2023, SportPesa introduced the Mega Jackpot Pro — a tiered entry system that lets you enter from 13 games instead of committing to all 17. This is one of the most underused features in the jackpot and significantly changes how you approach your entry strategy:

• Pro 13 — predict 13 matches, stake KES 99 per single combination
• Pro 14 — predict 14 matches, stake KES 99 per single combination
• Pro 15 — predict 15 matches, stake KES 99 per single combination
• Pro 16 — predict 16 matches, stake KES 99 per single combination
• Pro 17 — predict all 17 matches, stake KES 99 per single combination

The practical benefit: if you are confident about 13 of the 17 games but genuinely unsure about the other 4, entering at Pro 13 removes those uncertain legs entirely rather than forcing you to guess. Your prize eligibility adjusts to reflect the number of games in your chosen Pro tier.

Double and triple chance — how they work

Unlike a standard 1X2 bet, the Mega Jackpot allows you to cover more than one outcome per match to reduce your risk on uncertain fixtures:

• Double chance — pick two outcomes per match (1X, X2, or 12) on up to 10 matches. Doubles cost twice the base stake per combination formed.
• Triple chance — cover all three outcomes (1X2) on up to 5 matches. Triples cost three times the base stake per combination formed.

The stake formula is: KES 99 × 2ⁿ for each double chance selection, and KES 99 × 3ⁿ for each triple chance, where n is the number of matches using that option. Using doubles and triples aggressively increases your total stake significantly — plan your budget before applying them.

How to enter the SportPesa Mega Jackpot

1. Log in to your SportPesa account at ke.sportpesa.com or open the SportPesa app.
2. Click or tap the Mega Jackpot icon in the main menu.
3. Select your prediction — 1, X, or 2 — for each of the 17 fixtures. Apply double or triple chance on uncertain matches if your budget allows.

How we pick the predictions

Every one of the 17 fixtures gets individual analysis — we do not bulk-pick or copy from other sites. Our process for each match covers recent form (last 5–10 matches, home and away split separately), head-to-head record, injuries and suspensions, team motivation, tactical matchup, and market implied probability. Where a match is genuinely too close to call, we note it clearly and suggest applying a double or triple chance rather than guessing a single outcome.
